Network Integration Services was visited by US Senator Jerry Moran at its Olathe headquarters last week, where Senator Moran learned more about the infrastructure services company and its reasons for locating in Kansas.

During the visit, Moran toured one of NIS’ tier-four data centers and met with employees to discuss the industry and the effects of the fiscal issues facing the nation.

“I appreciated the opportunity to learn about the innovative ways NIS is providing needed internet services to businesses,” said Moran.

NIS CEO and co-founder Bob Jewell appreciated the opportunity to discuss the work that NIS is doing and said choosing to build its new headquarters buildings in Olathe two years ago was an easy decision.

“We were attracted to Olathe because of the highly-skilled labor force, low energy costs and highly available internet access,” said Jewell.

Olathe councilman Larry Campbell also attended the event.

Network Integration Services (NIS) offers cloud computing services for clients that demand highly secure, highly available on-demand computing resources in the financial services, healthcare, engineering and government business sectors.

Network Integration Services Opens New Headquarters

May 24, 2007

OLATHE – Network Integration Services, Inc. (NIS) has built and relocated to a new 34,000 square-foot headquarters in Olathe, Kansas.

The new building, a part of Corporate Ridge Office Park, is located at the intersection of K-10 and Ridgeview Road and allows the growing company to house all consultants and administrative staff, as well as provide improved data center capabilities to its clients. The new building includes three state-of-the-art data center facilities, built to an extremely high standard of security, redundancy and availability.

"Creating a top-notch data center was a priority in the design of our new offices. The clients we work with expect the highest level of service from us in every area, and we saw this as an opportunity to answer companies’ growing concerns for disaster recovery," said Bob Jewell, Senior Vice President of NIS.

According to Jewell, as organizations become more dependent on technical services and applications to run daily business, recovery of business infrastructure is no longer a luxury.

"Businesses of all sizes are learning that they can’t depend on 24- or 48- hour delayed tape backups to restore systems in the event of an emergency. System availability is required through an increasing number of client applications 24 hours a day. Hours of outages for upgrade or recovery are no longer acceptable in many organizations," said Jewell.

NIS is planning an open house for community members and clients on May 31. For more information about NIS services please contact Codie Breitbarth at 913-339-2300.
